- Conduct themselves with respect towards instructors and other cohort members.
Seruan Finance reserves the right to remove a Participant from a cohort, without refund, where conduct materially disrupts sessions or other participants.
8. Intellectual Property
All course materials, readings, case studies, and written templates provided by Seruan Finance remain the intellectual property of Seruan Finance. Participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials for personal reference following course completion. This licence does not permit reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of any course content.
The personal document produced by each Participant during the course (the personal balance sheet, income plan, or retirement folder) belongs to the Participant and is for their sole use.
9. Educational Disclaimer
Seruan Finance courses are educational in nature. Nothing in any course, session, material, or communication from Seruan Finance or its instructors constitutes licensed financial advice, investment advice, or any form of recommendation to buy, hold, or sell any financial product. Participants are encouraged to consult a licensed financial adviser authorised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore for advice specific to their circumstances.
Seruan Finance does not hold a financial advisory licence and is not authorised to provide licensed financial advice under the Financial Advisers Act (Singapore).
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, Seruan Finance's liability to any Participant in connection with a course is limited to the course fee paid by that Participant. Seruan Finance is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from participation in a course or reliance on course content.
This limitation does not affect rights that cannot be excluded under Singapore's Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
11. Indemnification
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Seruan Finance, its instructors, and associated persons from any claim, loss, or expense arising from the Participant's breach of these Terms and Conditions or misuse of course materials.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate the Agreement by written notice before the start of a cohort, subject to the refund policy set out in clause 6. Seruan Finance may terminate a Participant's enrolment during a cohort where the Participant has materially breached these Terms, with a written notice stating the reason. Provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be referred to the parties for good-faith resolution. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be referred to the Singapore Mediation Centre, and failing resolution, to the courts of Singapore, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms and any enrolment confirmation constitute the entire agreement between the parties.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it subsequently.
- Assignment: Participants may not transfer their enrolment to another person without written consent from Seruan Finance.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. The version in force at the time of enrolment applies to that enrolment. Updated Terms apply to subsequent enrolments.
